Now the ship is set to depart from Fort Lauderdale on January 3, 2022, and it will visit Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and Nassau, Bahamas.

Over 1,500 Golden Girls fans joined the inaugural Golden Fans at Sea voyage in 2020.

Chad Kampe, Golden Fans Cruise Director, had this to say about the event: “The 2020 cruise was an absolute dream! We had two back-to-back sailings, with 1,500 obsessed Golden Girls fans. Many guests have said this was the best experience of their life. We can’t wait to wow our guests in 2022!”

Those who attend Golden Fans at Sea should expect big Golden Girls names, says Kampe: “In 2020, guests interacted with Stan Zimmerman, writer of The Golden Girls, Melinda McClanahan (Rue’s sister), Jim Colucci and The Golden Gays NYC. We can’t wait to reveal who is going to come on the 2022 cruise.”

Scheduled events for Golden Fans at Sea 2022 include (but aren’t limited to) a Golden Girls Costume Party, Golden Girls trivia, Golden Girls panels (featuring original Golden Girls screenwriters, historians and family members), excursions, parody shows, game shows and — something truly special for 2022 — Betty White’s 100th Birthday Bash.
