We’re Gushing Over the Steamy Gay Sex Scene From HBO’s New Drama ‘Here and Now’ (Video)
Here and Now, HBO’s new dramatic series, follows the Bayer-Boatwrights, a family of neurotic Portlanders led by two overeducated parents whose adopted children all come from different ethnic backgrounds. The brainchild of Six Feet Under and True Blood creator Alan Ball, it’s quite heavy-handed in its exploration of racial issues, mental health and sexual dynamics, but it does have some hot guy-on-guy action between the family’s 18-year-old son, Ramon, and his tattooed, bearded love interest, Henry. So let’s enjoy the Here and Now gay sex scene together, shall we?
Their first sex scene, which occurs in the first episode, Ramon (played by Daniel Zovatto) tops Henry (Andy Bean) because after months of sheepishly eyeing Henry at the coffee bar, their sexual tension is just too much. Henry boorishly invites himself to the 60th birthday party of Ramon’s dad, and so before the bash, they smash.
Ramon’s a top, apparently? Or vers? Who cares. We dig his long hair though.
At the end of the first episode, Ramon starts screeching in the middle of his dad’s depressing-ass birthday speech when he sees a supernatural vision of the number 1111 floating towards him in firey columns through the living room. Portland has some really good weed, though his mom fears he’s developing schizophrenia. Meanwhile, Ramon believes its a sign of something hidden within himself — drama.
Anyway, despite his birthday freakout, Henry continues bonding with Ramon and the two share a moment together as Ramon shows Henry some graphics for a video game he’s developing. While hanging out shirtless in Ramon’s place, Ramon asks him if he plays video games. Aaaaand go:
Near the end of episode 2, Henry tries to get Ramon to relax by playing with him in a waterfall and then taking him a spot where they can smoke weed, talk and view the Milky Way. It’s romantic, up until the point that Ramon mentions once wiping lunch meat on his dick so his dog will blow him. (Yes, really.)
Episode 3 gives Henry and Ramon little to do other than hang out with Ramon’s neurotic family and get shirtless for this tasty shot below:
And because we’re an LGBTQ site, we should mention the show also has a Muslim family with a genderqueer son (pictured below). The character’s parents are both supportive although the father worries that his child will get beaten up if they’re visibly genderfluid in public.
