June 21, 2018, New York, NY — Hornet, the world’s premier gay social network, announced the launch of an updated chat function, providing users with a sleeker, simplified chat experience.

The Hornet chat function is a key element of the product and it’s where users spend most of their time. The latest version of the Hornet app also allows users to have much easier control over access to their private photos. On the top of each chat window, all users now have a simple lock indicator which tells them if private photos are visible to whomever they are chatting. With a single touch of the indicator button, a user can now toggle the keys to their private photos on or off.

“Hornet has always prided itself on its clean interface, allowing our users to confidently connect with other members of the community. The latest refresh of the chat interface not only provides better control to users of their photos but also brings the latest design to the forefront,” says Alex Allan, Product Manager for Hornet.

The new chat experience is available to all Hornet users globally beginning today on iOS and Android.

Hornet’s free social network app is available on iOS, Android and hornet.com.
