Our Favorite Snapshots From the No Pants Subway Ride 2019

Be first to like this.

Sunday saw the No Pants Subway Ride 2019 take place in cities around the globe, from New York City to Montréal to Amsterdam. Were you lucky enough to spy subway riders in little more than their skivvies?

If you weren’t lucky enough to catch guys sporting their cutest underwear on public transportation this past weekend, we’ve gathered some of our favorite No Pants Subway Ride 2019 images — from cities around the globe — so you can still feel like you were in on the action.

The #NoPantsSubwayRide got its start in New York City in 2002, by a “prank collective” called Improv Everywhere. Now, of course, these fun events take place in more than two dozen international cities, Chicago to Copenhagen, Los Angeles to Lisbon.

Improv Everywhere claims the very first No Pants Subway Ride had only seven participants. Now, of course, it has thousands.

Here’s how they describe the idea behind the ride: “Random passengers board a subway car at separate stops in the middle of winter without pants. The participants behave as if they do not know each other, and they all wear winter coats, hats, scarves, and gloves. The only unusual thing is their lack of pants.”

Without further adieu, here are our favorite snapshots from the No Pants Subway Ride 2019:

Montréal gets chilly in January, but these two sexy guys still stripped down.

Look at the variety in these boxer briefs!

A message we can get behind, even if only figuratively.

What can we say, we do love a themed look, even on No Pants Subway Ride 2019.

Several great shots in this post!

The No Pants Subway Ride really does bring people together.

These guys are just, you know, casually waiting for their stop.

Here’s some of what L.A. had to offer the No Pants Subway Ride 2019.

There’s nothing wrong with a little branding, right Parke and Ronen?

More Montréal moments.

We can always get behind an impromptu dance routine, especially when there’s no pants involved.

Young business professionals, but pants-less.

Even Vikings stripped down for No Pants Subway Ride 2019.

This guy improved mornings commutes for much of New York City.

We love “non-threatening nudity!”

If your Red Line ride was a bit interesting today, as you witnessed someone disrobe on your car, try not to worry — that person is (probably) part of the annual No Pants Ride. ⠀ ⠀ Wannabe exhibitionists, aspiring comedians and fans of non-threatening nudity took to the CTA Red Line Sunday for the No Pants Subway Ride. Organizers said at least 110 people took part this year, which was the eighth year the ride has been held in Chicago. ⠀ ⠀ The No Pants Subway Ride began in New York City as a project of Improv Everywhere and has spawned concurrent rides throughout the world, including Chicago. OK, those are some seriously cute socks! (Great legs, too!)

This last one actually isn’t even from this year’s event, but it’s just too good NOT to include. Great choice of book, BTW.
