Meet Scott, a Former Bespoke Tailor Currently Training to Become a Barber in London
We’ve always had a thing for sexy Brits. What can we say? Must be the accent. Meet Scott Humphreys, a guy who has lived in London his entire life (“apart from a few pitstops in New York nad Milan,” he says). Scott recently sat down with L.A.-based photographer Jasten King for a sexy shoot, and we’re happy to say we at Hornet can now present the shoot’s results for you to gawk at enjoy.
Half-English and half-German, Scott has quite a story, some of which is reflected in the artwork on his body. He tells us of his tattoos, by Calypso Saga-Moore, “I’ll admit, I first got tattooed to try look like one of the cool kids,” but his ink also served another purpose.
When Scott was 18 months old he got severely burned. Over 40% of his body was covered in scars, so he was happy to find a tattoo artist who was adept at covering scar tissue with tattoos. “I found a way to make something beautiful out of a terrible situation,” he says.
But Scott’s more than his ink. A bespoke tailor by trade (how many of those have you met in person?! Swoon!) he’s currently training to become a barber.
“I got into tailoring just after I left college, where I did a four-year apprenticeship on Saville Row to be a bespoke coat and jacket-maker, which I completed,” Scott tells us. “But after working in clothing and fashion for a few years, I learned that it was not for me.”
These days Scott is focusing his energy on a different line of work, currently training to become a barber in London.
You’ll also find Scott at one of our favorite international gay nightlife events, Daddy Issues in London. We’ve reported quite a lot on Daddy Issues in the past, which makes a solid effort to be a party for everyone. (And while the party started in London, it has since expanded worldwide!)
Scott is a host of the monthly party, which he says he loves doing. “It’s the hottest club night in London,” he says.
