From high-speed action flicks to essential Disney classics, LGBTQ actors seem to be everywhere this year, and we aren’t complaining one bit.

Geeky girls and gays scored superheroic wins in TV, film, and comic books during 2014… and more bright spots are on the horizon.
Actor, singer, musician, and model Ezra Miller has been making hearts go pitter-patter since his stellar portrayal of self-assured yet perpetually-bullied Patrick in the movie adaptation of The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012).
While Miller made his feature film debut in 2008, it was his starring role in the critically-acclaimed We Need to Talk about Kevin (2011) that really put him on the map.
Miller is known not only for his acting in these Ezra Miller movies and, well, dreaminess, but also for being one of the few openly queer actors in the industry. In regards to his sexuality, he said, “The way I would choose to identify myself wouldn’t be gay. I’ve been attracted mostly to ‘shes’ but I’ve been with many people and I’m open to love wherever it can be…”
And, as if we needed more reasons to love Ezra Miller, he has been cast as superhero The Flash in The Flash (2018), scheduled to be released on March 23, 2018.
