Hornet members have always been able to choose a unique username. As of October 2014, we display this on your profile, in the form of @username. To choose your own username you must first create a free Hornet account. If you have not already done so, check how to create an account here. To choose a Hornet username, please follow the instructions:
On Android:
- Open Hornet and go to your profile section
- Go to “Settings” (the cog icon in the upper-right corner)
- Tap “Account”
- Tap the “Username” field
- Enter a new username (must be 15 characters or less – no special characters)
On iOS:
- Open Hornet and go to your profile section
- Go to “Settings” (the cog icon in the upper-right corner)
- Tap “Account”
- Tap the “Username” field
- Enter a new username (must be 15 characters or less – no special characters)
- Confirm by tapping "Done"
On Web:
- Go to our website https://hornet.com and access your account
- On the Home Screen, click on your name/profile picture in the upper-right corner of the screen
- Click on “Account”
- Then, click on "Username"
- After that, click on “Upload From Computer” and search for your photo.
- Enter a new username (must be 15 characters or less – no special characters
- Click "✓" icon to save
If you cannot find a solution in our FAQ, please write to us at feedback@hornet.com. It is important that you include your Account ID in the email, so that we can trace your account. Your Account ID is on your profile and begins with the ‘@’ symbol.
