Our 5 Current Obsessions: An Affordable iPad, a Birkenstock Makeover and Sexy C-IN2 Briefs

Be first to like this.

This week finally saw Apple release an affordable iPad. Plus, meet a set of STD-inspired plushies that are cuddly and educational. And if you ever wanted to see a hip Birkenstock, read on. From the newest gadget to unique gift ideas, these are our obsessions of the week.

1. The new 9.7-inch iPad

If you’ve ever wanted an iPad but didn’t want to pay Apple prices, it’s your lucky day. Apple just released a new iPad with a price of only $329. That’s half the cost of its predecessors — and yet it’s equally powerful. This model is incredibly fast, perfect for video editing or playing games. You can also easily switch between apps. The iPad is a notepad, computer, camera and the only new gadget you need … this week. $329, apple.com

2. Rick Owens + Birkenstock collaboration

Birkenstocks are comfortable but dorky-looking — or at least they were. They’re still comfortable, but the shoes have now been given a modern makeover, thanks to avant-garde designer Rick Owens. Focusing on Birkenstock’s three signature styles — Arizona, Madrid and Boston sandals — Owens updates them with new materials, from full grain leather to long hair cow fur. We love Owens’ unique touch. Starts at $295. Pre-order at rickowens.eu

3. GIANTmicrobes STD plushies

GIANTmicrobes, an educational gift company focusing on health, science and nature, has a set of STD plushies that are equally adorable and educational. If you want a cute way to learn more about chlamydia, gonorrhea and herpes (or just want a tacky AF gag gift for your bestie’s birthday), these little guys will do the trick. Starting at $10, giantmicrobes.com

4. Acne face and body wash

No one wants acne. So fight off pores clogged with bacteria-infected sebum by using Humane’s Acne Wash. It contains 10% benzoyl peroxide, your best weapon against acne, as it kills bacteria and helps prevent breakouts. And since it’s a non-foaming lotion, it’ll absorb evenly. $21, amazon.com

5. New low-rise brief from C-IN2

Famous for its provocative jockstraps, C-IN2 also has a great selection of comfortable and colorful briefs. One of our favorites is this new low-rise neon brief that fits nicely below the waist. The stretch fabric means you get a comfortable fit, and the mesh shows just enough skin to let you show off in and out of the bedroom. $24, c-in2.com
