With more than 30 million users around the world, on any given day the Hornet Feed features slices of life from a wide variety of guys. And these guys are posting about all sorts of things, capturing their daily life, their interests, their travels (occasionally with a throwback post — thanks, pandemic!) and even issues that are important to them. One of those such issues is mask-wearing in the time of COVID, a practice that we know is instrumental in helping reduce spread of the novel coronavirus.
On Sept. 4, 2020, Hornet celebrated International #Mask4Mask Day, a day when all users were encouraged to share a photo depicting them wearing a mask. These posts — which were encouraged throughout the month of September and included a Hornet-designed #Mask4Mask sticker when that hashtag was used in the caption — were aimed at supporting the health-conscious decision of mask-wearing in public and reducing any lingering stigma associated with mask-wearing. These posts were also a great opportunity for the guys of Hornet to showcase that, yes, wearing a face mask can even be stylish!
International #Mask4Mask Day and Hornet’s hashtag campaign occurred in conjunction with a survey Hornet conducted around mask-wearing during a pandemic, which saw more than 85% of 2,500 guys who took the survey say they “always” or “usually” wear a mask or face covering when they leave the house.
That’s great news!
Now, as Hornet’s month-long #Mask4Mask campaign comes to a close, we’ve decided to share some of our favorite posts from around the world. Did your mask-wearing photo make the cut?
