Donald Trump Has People Photoshopping Images to Make Him Look Thinner and His Fingers Longer

Be first to like this.

We call Fake News! on these images of the current U.S. president, which have clearly been given the “Kardashian treatment.” It turns out that Photoshopped Donald Trump images have been used on his social media accounts, and while it’s no crime that’s gonna get him impeached, we happen to find it downright hilarious.

We have Gizmodo to thank for the revelation of these Photoshopped Donald Trump images, which have not only been altered to make Trump look thinner, but also to make his fingers appear longer than they really are. (Remember that hubbub back in February 2016 about Trump’s “tiny hands”? Well, apparently that hurt his feelings more than any of us knew!)

The tech blog has uncovered at least three retouched images posted to Trump’s social media since last October.

Check out this example of a Photoshopped Donald Trump image:

Is it really a big deal that someone is Photoshopping images of Donald Trump to make him look thinner? Not really. (Though the whole ‘making his fingers longer’ thing is pretty damn creepy.) But as Gizmodo says, “[F]or a guy who’s constantly complaining about fake news, it’s pretty hypocritical that President Trump’s social media team is using photos that have been altered to make him look thinner and less wrinkled. It’s especially weird that his fingers have been made longer, which might lead one to believe that the president has had some input in these alterations.”

And, really, what can we expect from a president so unintelligent and willfully ignorant that he’s actually said on the record that exercise is misguided, because — get this — a person, like a battery, is born with a finite amount of energy.

No intelligent person believes that.

As for Trump’s tiny hands, here’s something we didn’t know: It’s been a topic of conversation for decades. Seriously.

As it turns out, 30 years ago Graydon Carter (the former editor of Vanity Fair) described Trump in Spy magazine as a “short-fingered vulgarian” — something that incensed Trump so much, apparently, that as recently as 2016, Trump has mailed Carter envelopes with photos of himself inside. On the images, Trump’s fingers are circled in gold Sharpie “to highlight the length of his fingers,” says Carter. “I almost feel sorry for the poor fellow because, to me, the fingers still look abnormally stubby.”

Could Graydon Carter actually be the reason for these Photoshopped Donald Trump images? Could be. We just hope Carter has contemplated putting such a remarkable achievement on his CV.

What do you think of the Photoshopped Donald Trump images? On a scale of 1–10, how surprised are you really?
