Sydney native, musician and actor Keiynan Lonsdale is no stranger to the limelight. With major roles on The CW’s The Flash and 2018’s romantic dramedy Love, Simon, he’s been impressing us with his charm, good looks and undeniable talent for years. He’s also a testament to being unapologetically yourself, reminding us all that “you can live your dreams and be yourself.”
Here are five reasons we’re currently swooning over actor Keiynan Lonsdale:

“I like to change my hair, I like to take risks with how I dress, I like girls, & I like guys (yes), I like growing, I like learning, I like who I am and I really like who I’m becoming. Spent way too many years hating myself, thinking I was less valuable because I was different.. which is just untrue. A couple years ago I was able to accept myself, & it saved my life, but now I’ve gotten to a new road block & I feel kind of lost. I gotta take the next step & actually embrace who I am, which is pretty exciting. Not faking shit anymore, not apologising for falling in love with people no matter their gender. I’ve become bored of being insecure, ashamed, scared… no one should feel like that about themselves, especially when there is so much good life to live. Ya know more & more I see so many young people being their best / truest selves, it’s fucking inspiring… so what have I been waiting for!? Who knows. Everyone in their own time. I hope we can all learn to embrace who we are & not judge people who aren’t exactly the same as us. The truth is we are all family, we’re all one. Just love. Keiy. ❤”
2. All the hype for his upcoming film, My Fake Boyfriend

There’s obviously nothing we want more than LGBTQ romantic comedies, and actor Keiynan Lonsdale is delivering. My Fake Boyfriend follows Lonsdale’s character as he creates a fake boyfriend on social media — and then has to deal with the consequences once the real love of his life shows up.
3. This MTV interview on how coming out changed his life
“I definitely had people — whether it was professional or personally in my life — tell me that it would be an issue, a potential issue if I was to come out, because maybe audiences wouldn’t know how to take me as an actor, and there were certain people who said, you’re about to start a superhero show, and you know, it just could be like a ‘thing.’ And then I found out actually very shortly after that that Ezra Miller who was playing The Flash in the movie was openly queer and I was like, what a perfect example … like, no, I can just be myself. And I wasn’t planning on coming out at the time, but it gave me a lot of confidence to know whenever I was ready, it’s not a problem.”
4. His first full-length album, Rainbow Boy
It’s bop after bop on this proudly queer record.
5. And no, it does not hurt that Aussie actor Keiynan Lonsdale is gorgeous
