Donald Trump thought his son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner might be gay when he first met him, according to Unhinged, Omarosa Manigault Newman’s new memoir about her time in the White House.

When Ivanka was first dating Kushner, Omarosa claims, she asked her father what she thought of him. “‘He seems a little ‘sweet’ to me,’ he said, using his phrasing for ‘gay,’” the entry in Unhinged reads. While Jared Kushner has been a constant presence in the White House, he rarely speaks on camera. Many speculate that’s because he has a “gay-sounding” voice.

Omarosa also reportedly taped Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump calling her after she was fired to offer their condolences and say they had no idea it was happening.

Omarosa, who worked with Trump as a contestant in the 2003 season of The Apprentice isn’t without her own homophobic past: When she appeared on Celebrity Apprentice, she hinted competitor Piers Morgan was a closeted gay man. Morgan later revealed that Omarosa had proposed a showmance between the two of them and that when he declined, she called him an anti-gay slur. She also once called CNN’s Don Lemon “a queen” for cutting off her microphone.

Over the weekend Manigault Newman’s appeared on NBC’s Meet the Press to promote Unhinged, and revealed she secretly recorded her firing by chief of staff John Kelly. “There have been some pretty, in my opinion, significant integrity issues related to you,” he is heard telling her, referencing her use of government vehicles and “money issues.”

While Kelly says her infractions would have gotten her court-martialed in the military, “if we make this a friendly departure … you can look at your time here in the White House as a year of service to the nation and then you can go on without any type of difficulty in the future, relative to your reputation.”

Manigault Newman had defended Trump against attacks of racism during his campaign and early presidency. But she now claims she was “used” by the current occupant of the Oval Office. Unhinged alleges Donald Trump used the N-word on The Apprentice and “has been masquerading as someone who is actually open to engaging with diverse communities.”

“I had to go through the pain of witnessing his racism with my own eyes, and hearing it with my own ears, many times, until I couldn’t deny it any longer,” she claims, adding “I was complicit with this White House deceiving this nation. I had a blind spot where it came to Donald Trump.”

Whose presence in the White House was worse: Jared Kushner or Omarosa Manigault Newman?
