Kendall Jenner gay rumors have been around for a while, and whether or not they’re true or, frankly, are anyone’s business, social media was furious when the Instagram-famous model and member of the Kardashian family didn’t come out of the closet on Sunday night. People’s hopes were high following a post by her “mom-ager” Kris Kardashian the day before teasing that Kendall would share a “raw story” from her teens with the world.

“I’m so proud of my darling @KendallJenner for being so brave and vulnerable,” Kris Jenner posted on Instagram. “Seeing you share your most raw story in order to make a positive impact for so many people and help foster a positive dialogue is a testament to the incredible woman you’ve become. Make sure to watch Kendall’s Twitter on Sunday night to find out what I’m talking about and be prepared to be moved. #bethechange #shareyourstory #changetheconversation #proudmom #finallyasolution #authenticity #mydaughterinspiresme #getready”

Due to the Kendall Jenner gay rumors that have been making waves for years, people assumed that last night, during the Golden Globes, she’d put the rumors to rest once and for all and come out of the closet.

Those people were severely disappointed when Kendall Jenner’s “raw story” was actually about the acne she experienced as a teen. The big announcement was a partnership with anti-acne brand Proactiv.

Many are now claiming that because Kendall Jenner is surely familiar with the rumors she’s gay, the serious wording of Kris Jenner’s original post was intentionally “queer-baiting” people.

Responses to the Kendall Jenner gay rumor not being addressed were a mix of brutal and downright hilarious, as you can see here:

Kendall Jenner, who is currently 22 years old, has more than 100 million Instagram followers and 27 million followers on Twitter. She’s one of the world’s most-followed “celebrities” on social media.

Had you heard the Kendall Jenner gay rumors? Do you care that she didn’t come out?
