Disney recently shared a long list of updates during the company’s Investor Day. Marvel fans were treated to news about previously unknown projects, release dates and casting announcements. All that got us thinking: With Marvel’s Phase Four, what’s in store in terms of practically mandatory shirtless superhero moments?! These scenes have become a staple of Marvel films, and we can’t wait for more!

But which films and shows of Marvel’s Phase Four (and beyond) are sure to have a shirtless superhero scene or two? Here’s our list:

Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings

It’s about time that Simu Liu became a household name. After Crazy Rich Asians was a success in 2018, we hoped to see more Asian men in leading roles. Unfortunately, it hasn’t really happened yet. But Simu Liu in the upcoming Shang-Chi film could kickstart that bright new future.

Simu Liu

And you know what would help? A classic shirtless superhero scene. You can’t blame us for wanting to see it. Simu Liu has gone shirtless in other projects, like his TV show Kim’s Convenience. So we know what we’re in for and can’t wait to see it on the big screen.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

Now you know there has to be a shirtless superhero or two in this Disney+ project. After all, there will be two (buff) male leads. With two male heroes, it would be offensive for Marvel and Disney not to deliver a shirtless superhero scene. Hopefully, we’ll get Anthony Mackie’s The Falcon and Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier near-nude, and maybe even together?!

In the end, this superhero miniseries that’s smashed with a buddy cop movie and military film aesthetic is sure to excite us in many ways.

Spider-Man 3

If you think two heroes is exciting, you’ll love three heroes! That’s exactly what we’re getting in this third Spider-Man installment. Rumors have been buzzing for months now that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige was working with Sony to make Spider-Man 3 a multiverse film (with WandaVision and Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness kicking off the three-part movie arc).

Tom Holland will be a key figure in Marvel’s Phase Four films

Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield (who played Spidey in the first two Spider-Man film series) have since signed on to return to the big screen. Since it’s rumored they might only return for the film’s third act, we can’t imagine a shirtless superhero scene involving all three Spideys, but we can dream. And we are.

The Eternals

Now, there are a few other contenders we could consider for this list. Loki is getting his very own show on Disney+, so there might be a shirtless superhero scene there. Plus, the character is rumored to be bisexual in the series, so we might even get a gay kiss. Benedict Cumberbatch will also get a second chance at a shirtless superhero scene in his second Doctor Strange film.

But it’s The Eternals that has the most potential to break the internet with naked-ish heroes. Marvel’s Phase Four flick The Eternals will not only have the studio’s first openly gay superhero (Brian Tyree Henry, who will also a father married to openly gay actor Haaz Sleiman, pictured above), but the film stars both Richard Madden and Kit Harrington. That’s right, the Stark boys are back together, and we are crossing our fingers that they’ll be shirtless together once again. One can only hope.

Of Marvel’s Phase Four projects, which are you hoping treats us to shirtless superhero scenes? Anyone we forgot to mention? Let’s talk about your favorite superhero studs!
