Miley Cyrus Is On an Undercover Mission in the ‘Drag Race’ Season 11 Premiere

With 10 seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race under its belt (plus four special All Stars seasons), the favorite reality TV competition series of gay men around the world is now able to lure some of the biggest names in Hollywood to participate. Case in point: Miley Cyrus, who caused quite a ruckus last week when it was announced she’d be the guest judge for the Drag Race Season 11 premiere.

Previous seasons’ guest judges have included gay faves Lady Gaga (Season 9) and Christina Aguilera (Season 10).

But now we know that Miley Cyrus will be doing more than acting as a guest judge for the Drag Race Season 11 premiere runway competition. As a fun twist, she’s “going undercover” behind the scenes of the show, acting as a crew member and surveilling the queens in secret.

Watch the below clip of Miley on the Drag Race Season 11 premiere, just posted to the show’s social:

Even better, Miley’s undercover mission involves a gender swap. Behold “Barry Johnson, aka BJ.” Leave it to Miley to get in on some of the show’s fun with drag. In the clip above, Cyrus sports a fake beard, glasses and a “crew” badge.

“I am the guest judge on this week’s panel, but first, I wanted to go undercover with the ladies,” Miley Cyrus says. “So I’m going in as a crew member. They’re never gonna know what hit ‘em.”

From what we hear, the very first challenge involves the Season 11 queens creating looks from items that once belonged to former Drag Race contestants.

Even before the announcement that Miley Cyrus would be the guest judge on the Drag Race Season 11 premiere, we’ve known this pop star is a longtime fan of the series. Back in 2015, Cyrus invited a ton of drag queens to perform alongside her at the MTV VMAs. (Watch that performance below.)

The Drag Race Season 11 premiere, with Miley Cyrus as the episode’s undercover guest judge, premieres this Thursday, Feb. 28.
