Stephen Amell is out of his costume — and his clothes — in a new promo for Arrow Season 7, which sees Oliver Queen fighting off several assailants in the shower of a maximum-security prison.

In the Season 6 finale, Oliver admitted he was Green Arrow to the FBI, leading to his arrest and imprisonment.

“I think the cool part of him being in prison is that having a hero be in prison is very challenging, especially for Oliver,” showrunner Beth Schwartz told EW. “Just being able to survive prison… he has to make some questionable choices to survive. We sort of wanted to write to the real of what that situation would look like if he was locked up with a bunch of previous villains that he’d previously put in there, and they’re now on the same playing field. There’s so much conflict there. He can’t do things the way he did them as the Green Arrow. The rules are different in prison.”

Oliver Queen won’t be anyone’s bitch.

Schwartz confirmed out actor Colton Haynes is returning to Arrow full-time in Season 7 as Roy Harper, a.k.a. Arsenal.

“He’ll be the same Roy that we love. Last time we saw him, he went off with Thea, so a lot has happened since then, and he’ll be affected by what happened when he left when he returns.”

Arrow will once again be part of a crossover of the CW’s superhero shows in the 2018-2019 TV season. The three-part saga — which will connect Green Arrow, Flash and Supergirl — will herald the arrival of Lois Lane and lesbian caped crusader Batwoman, played by Ruby Rose. Amell’s wife, Cassandra Jean Amell, will also appear, as Nora Fries, a.k.a. the wife of Batman villain Mr. Freeze. It’s also been rumored Stephen Amell will be sporting a new Green Arrow costume in the crossover.

Arrow returns to the CW on Monday, October 15, at 8pm.
