Tyler Posey is trending again, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. The 29-year-old California native has been working as an actor for most of his life — all the way back to 2001, in fact — but the actor and sometimes-musician has been a star for over a decade. He’s built a brand around his name. But what projects got him to where he is today? And why is he trending this time? (Hint: It’s those Tyler Posey nudes you always wanted.)

Here are five reasons he’s our latest swoon-worthy stud. (Of which those Tyler Posey nudes are only one reason!)

1. Teen Wolf

It’s what first really put Tyler Posey on the map. After nearly a decade of working on television in small and recurring roles, he eventually got to star in a small little MTV show called Teen Wolf. Ever heard of it?

The TV series was a darker and edger take on the 1985 comedy starring Michael J. Fox. Posey plays the lead, a field hockey-playing high schooler whose life turns supernatural after getting bitten by a werewolf one night.

Teen Wolf series lasted six seasons and made Tyler Posey and some of his co-stars — like Dylan O’Brien and Colton Haynes — into celebrities. Everybody’s gotta have a start, right?

2. Guest spots on series like Jane the Virgin and Now Apocalypse

After making it big with Teen Wolf, Tyler Posey went back to basics. He continued a career of guest or recurring roles on shows like Jane the Virgin, but one of his most celebrated roles was a recurring spot on the Starz series Now Apocalypse.

The series — about a group of 20-somethings dealing with love, sex and fame in Los Angeles — was nothing new to television. That said, it got attention for making a romance between gay men the center of its story. Fans of the show were even more excited to see those two men in question be Tyler Posey and Avan Jogia.

Funny enough, Posey played a bisexual man in Jane the Virgin, before he himself revealed that he’s had sexual experiences with men (but would rather not label himself).

3. The Tyler Posey OnlyFans page

We have OnlyFans to thank for those Tyler Posey nudes.

In the past couple years, we’ve seen a rise in celebrities on OnlyFans. (Check out our running tally of male celebs on the NSFW platform here.) The site has allowed many people the ability to access independent pornography and adult content makers, including Tyler Posey.

Posey joined the site last year and has been steadily updating it with NSFW content for his fans. Then on March 9, Twitter users woke up to a surprise: Tyler Posey nudes! An NSFW video was leaked from OnlyFans onto Twitter. Many memes were shared. We live.

Posey has said about the NSFW platform:

OnlyFans is bizarre. It’s really sort of mentally draining. You really feel like an object on OnlyFans. I’m trying my hardest to be artistic as possible with the content I put out ’cause I don’t want it to just be porn, you know? That’s not what I do and I don’t want to take it away from the people that are doing that. I just want to be artistic and stay in touch with my fans.

4. His music

So what else is Tyler Posey doing when he’s not acting in front of a camera? Well, he’s making music. Tyler Posey has worked with several bands in the past decade. In the early 2010s, Posey played guitar and acted as frontman for the band Disappearing Jamie, formerly known as Lost in Kostko. That band then disbanded in 2013.

After that, Posey again played guitar, and contributed vocals, in another band. This time, the band was pop punk group PVMNTS. Alongside guitarist/bassist/vocalist Freddy Ramirez and drummer Nick Guzman, Tyler Posey released a six-track EP called Better Days. But in 2019 Posey decided to leave that band in order to follow other music ventures.

That other music venture turned out to be the band Five North. With childhood friend Kyle Murphy and drummer Scott Eckel, Posey released a debut single in 2019 called “This Mess.” They released more music in 2020.

But despite all of that work with bands, Tyler Posey also has an interest in solo work. Recently he announced plans to release a solo song called “Shut up.”

5. Voice work

Over the past few years, Tyler Posey has been working steadily as a voice actor. He’s garnered recurring and main roles in several project like Elena of Avalor, Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors and Fast & Furious Spy Racers. So if you’re watching a kid’s show or a superhero cartoon and think you’re hearing Tyler Posey’s voice, you just might be.

Tyler Posey has been around for two decades now. He’s worked in small roles, he’s worked in big roles, he’s worked in voice roles and he’s worked in bi roles. And through it all, he’s kept the interest — and thirst — of his fans. We wonder what future Tyler Posey projects we’ll be swooning over.
