The ‘Queer Eye’ Fab Five Are Heading to Japan for a 4-Episode Miniseries
Following the first two seasons of the hit Netflix series Queer Eye, which were shot in Atlanta, the Fab Five — consisting of Food & Wine guy Antoni Porowski, Style Guy Tan France, Interior Design Guy Bobby Berk, Grooming Guy Jonathan Van Ness and Culture Guy Karamo Brown — are heading to Kansas City, Missouri for the anticipated third season. But also scheduled to air next year is a four-episode miniseries of the Fab Five in the “Land of the Rising Sun.”
Fans of the series will be happy to hear that the format of the Fab Five’s Japan episodes will remain unchanged — the guys will “work with local tastemakers to make-better a new group of heroes.” The five guys will “forge relationships with four Japanese men and women from different backgrounds and cultures who were selected from a wide group of applicants and nominations.”
The four-episode miniseries will reportedly be titled Queer Eye: We’re in Japan!
Here’s what Queer Eye creator and EP David Collins had to say about the Fab Five heading to Japan:
In just a year since we launched season one, Queer Eye has become a global phenomenon once again and the Fab Five are truly the ambassadors of self-care and compassion that the world needs now more than ever. Filming in Japan is a wonderful opportunity for us to work with four deserving heroes that will help showcase the incredible traditions and customs of their country.
