Watch Casey Cott Rate the Best ‘Riverdale’ Memes

The CW’s Riverdale is some of the most fun you can have on a Wednesday night. The Archie-by-way-of-Twin-Peaks teen drama is beautifully nuts — masked murderers, gang warfare, strip teases to “Mad World” — Riverdale is the epitome of trashy fun. And, as with anything popular, a number of Riverdale memes have been circulating on Twitter, Tumblr and wherever else you can imagine. And thanks to Teen Vogue, Casey Cott, who plays Archie’s gay pal Kevin Keller, goes through his favorites.

Though the video went up a few days ago, if you’re not 100% up-to-date on Riverdale, there won’t be any spoilers from the most recent episodes. (And if you’re not 100% up-to-date, why not this show is amazing you guys??)

There are a few recurring themes from the video, like Archie’s platonic relationship with Betty Cooper. (We particularly like the “As a Friend” meme that opens the video.) There are a few that are just screencaps of the show, like the famous “Archie got hot.” scene from the pilot episode when Kevin Keller finally gets a look at Archie (played by KJ Apa) with his shirt off after a summer working construction.

There are a few meta-riffs. There’s one where Jughead leaves the drive-in where he’d been living in Season 1 and his dad asks where he’s gonna go. It turns out to be the Tipton Hotel, which, if you’re in the right age group, you might remember as the setting of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, the Disney series that made child stars out of Cole Sprouse and his twin brother Dylan.

Cott even gets into the spirit and makes his own “Kevin Keller starter pack.” Namely, a v-neck sweater, his brown bag, a philosophical book and the hashtag #perpetuallyalone. Awww, Kevin! Hopefully your next boyfriend won’t get shipped off to San Junipero!
