Here’s a Sneak Peek at ‘The Zone,’ the Ultimate Britney Spears Fan Experience About to Open in L.A.

Be first to like this.

When your average gay L.A. resident thinks of “The Zone,” he thinks of one of SoCal’s most popular gay sex clubs. But if that gay Angeleno is also a Britney Spears fan, chances are he’s more excited to hit up The Zone Britney Spears fan experience, a pop-up set to open this weekend only a few minutes drive away from that “private playground for men.”

Both the sex club and this pop-up Britney Spears fan experience offer a world of wonder for gay guys: The former features two floors of mazes, private booths and an outdoor patio where men both clothed and fully nude roam and search for sex (find the club online here); The Zone Britney Spears fan experience is a one-of-a-kind exhibit for the pop singer’s superfans (though even casual fans are likely to have a blast).

Scroll through some of my photos and videos of The Zone Britney Spears fan experience here:

Dedicated to celebrating Britney’s iconic career of cranking out pop hits, this pop-up is partly a retail shop featuring all sorts of colorful merch, including memorabilia from past tours and the debut of five distinct merch collections (“Britney Army,” “Work Bitch,” “The Zone Collection,” “Britney Bitch” and “Pride Collection”). Even cooler, you’ll shop for “Work Bitch” hoodies and sweatpants alongside the actual costumes worn in some of Britney’s most beloved music videos.

The other big component of The Zone is a massive walk-through experience that spans tens of thousands of square feet. Walking through is like taking a tour of Britney’s career, and each of nine rooms are dedicated to one of her chart-topping tracks. You’ll start in the high school classroom made famous in her “…Baby One More Time” music video, and later journey to Mars (“Oops…I Did It Again”), step inside a custom airplane (“Toxic”) and explore a circus (“Circus”) complete with a tightrope photo walk and ball pit, among others.

From the “Toxic” plane, each seat features a sickness bag that reads at the bottom: “If affected by a taste of poison paradise, use this bag.”

Each of the nine custom rooms are intended to act as prime selfie spots, and several of them also feature interactive components where you’re able to scan the RFID wristband you’re given upon entry and then pose for all sorts of well-designed, shareable photos and GIFs.

Walking through the Britney Spears fan experience will take between 60-90 minutes.

A tenth room — though its concept and/or song theme hasn’t yet been announced — is scheduled to open sometime in the near future.

Naturally the “Circus” room features a Zoltar machine!

“As devoted Britney fans, we created The Zone as a thank you for the years of joy she has brought to all of our lives. Britney loves her fans more than anything,” says Jeff Delson, lead producer for The Zone Britney Spears fan experience and CEO of Black Sky Creative. “Nothing, absolutely nothing, compares to The Zone. The scale of the venue, the breakthrough technologies, the fashion, the surprises, the special access we were given, and the sheer fun of it all will truly blow people away. As it should be for the Princess of Pop.”

Living my “I’m a Slave 4 U” best life.

And, hey, you can always pop by the other The Zone after you get your Britney Spears fix!
